From small-sized green spaces, backyards and gardens, to a spread of wild, rolling acres, the landscape you call home has a story – a story that can guide how to best live in harmony with and steward the land’s physical and metaphysical offerings and realize its promises for the future. I will work with you, using an expert and friendly approach, to read and interpret your landscape and to develop appropriate, pleasing, and sustainable plans and designs for your home land.
A 2-hour walk-around with you to view existing conditions and share ideas and principles. A written summary of findings, offers possible actions and includes location maps.
The next step - An on-the-ground, detailed assessment and interpretation of physical, ecological, and aesthetic features of the landscape. Recorded information is used to create a report and map for use in future planning and design.
A detailed master plan for sustainable land use and land stewardship is created based on ecological assessment and analysis . The plan is complete with maps, and hand-rendered conceptual drawings.
I'll work with you to get to know your land and co-create your customized Landstory project - A land history, locating and designing gardens or outdoor living space, creating wildlife habitat, laying out walking or ski trails, designing natural play space…
Let’s Dream!
"As we read what is written on the land, finding accounts of the past, predictions of the future, and comments on the present, we discover there are many interwoven strands to each story, offering several possible interpretations."
—May Theilgaard Watts, Reading the Landscape
